Final Colour Selection.

Last Wednesday we had our colour selection appointment with Plantation which went better than expected.

How ever we did seem to add a few $$$ to the final figure which was expected and we were quite surprised that we weren't haggled into upgrades, then again they don't include things that one would think is standard, all in all most were what we had decided before hand.

Upgrades that we made were :
* Toilet suite (the standard one was tiny, more like one you would see at school).
* Window frame colour (Jasper).
* Frosting on Bathrooms (which we thought were included, cheeky buggers).
* Off white mortar, the grey was just wrong for the bricks we chose.
* Whirlybirds, another thing we thought was included too.
* Extra cupboard to fill in the void at the end of the kitchen bench for a bin.
* etc. etc.

Some ideas for feature colours.

Kitchen/Bathrooms/Laundry Cupboards(not sure to whether this picture does the colour any justice, it is almost the same).

Bermuda Tiles for wet areas.

Bin for void in Kitchen Bench.

This list could keep going but I think I will just wait until the house is being built and just take

some pictures then.

Off to the Electricians tomorrow to sort out were we want our lights to be.

Also Happy Anniversary to my beautiful Scott for tomorrow.

A sunny day at our patch of dirt.

Today we went for a drive to see what has been happening around the Estate, progress on others homes seem to be coming along at a slow pace. We got some pegs and bricky's line so that we could peg out the house and see how it looks on the land and not just on the site plan print out. As you can see I had my little beast parked somewhere near the front porch. You may think we are a little nuts but that is just us.

The car is about midway up the hallway.

You can just sort of make out the lines of the front of the house. And it looks like I have driven the car through the garage wall to the porch, oops.

This is how we pegged it today and I have labeled the rooms at the back of the house.

7 MORE SLEEPS - Until we sign our contract and do our colour selections.

I found this awesome website that sells pendant lights, so these are the ones that we will most probably have above the kitchen bench X 3.
